Service Description

Custom ebook formatting allows you to make some style choices rather than leaving it all up to Virginia. You can select title and chapter fonts from the fonts that Virginia already has access to, or send along a font for which you have commercial use rights and Virginia will use that in your ebook headers. In addition, Virginia will place up to five images that you have provided into the text.

You’ve Got Questions — I’ve Got Answers

What is your average turnaround time?

I'll be frank. I have a 5 year old and I work from home. She's pretty good at entertaining herself for a while, but there are days (or weeks) where she decides that me ignoring her is the worst thing ever. So, my turnaround times are variable, because my available working hours in a given day are variable.

That said, I can generally get an initial cover design to you in a few days, and an initial formatting design to you in about a week. Then your responsiveness factors greatly into how quickly we move on from there. 

Why do I have to pay half of the cost of booking upfront?

The short answer is: because this is the internet, and not everyone is nice. The long answer is: I'm sure you're a lovely, trustworthy human being. However, not everyone is, and I cannot afford to spend time on design work that is going to go unpaid. I have bills to pay and a daughter to feed, and charging half of the cost upfront allows me confidently start work on your project as quickly as possible.
